Dr. Josh Collingwood is a specialist Rehabilitation Medicine Physician based in Ballarat.
Josh brings a unique approach to patient care. Drawing on a lifelong interest in exercise physiology and training, and previous careers as an elite road racing cyclist and clinical cardiopulmonary exercise physiologist, he formulates a holistic and individualised approach to every patient to enhance recovery and functional performance. He has a passion for working with people suffering from both short term injuries and long term disability to help them meet their recovery goals.
Dr Collingwood has extensive experience with Acquired Brain Injury, Amputee, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke and Multi-trauma units after training at leading rehabilitation units at Epworth HealthCare, Caulfield Hospital and Grace McKellar Centres. He has a special interest in orthopaedic injuries, disorders of the brain, stroke, spinal cord and optimising recovery of patients recovering from major trauma, surgery and medical illness.
Dr Collingwood is a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is an admitting physician at St John of God Ballarat.
