There has been much emphasis on the internet regarding different approaches  on the direct anterior hip approach.
The important detail is to do a safe, reliable, repeatable operation.

The mini posterior approach and rapid recovery techniques seem equal to the claims of anterior approaches, with a single night in hospital possible, rapid mobilisation, for the most part splitting muscles rather than cutting them.

The Australian Orthopaedic Association Arthroplasty Society reviewed the available literature and trials, and concluded there is no “better approach”.
