Our practice is built on our partnership with patients General Practitioners. We are keen to provide service & access to enhance that relationship.
If a few words of telephone advice is all that’s required, usually one of the consultant surgeon’s are in the rooms & will help. Our surgeon and sports medicine doctors can access virtually all radiology departments in the western district to review images.
All traditional mechanisms of making appointments still exist, but if you like – urgent appointments can be made through our patient “make appointment” web app. A minimum amount of data needs to be inserted so that the patient’s problem and the surgeon/physician be appropriately matched. This is a somewhat experimental, we’d be interested in any feedback to email@example.com.
If a patient has been referred by a third party – for example an emergency department – we will enquire as to who the patient’s GP is. This is so we can keep you in the loop, and will seek background information about our shared patient.
With the roll out of My Health Record – we envisage our Practice Management Software will be able to interact. If there are patients and GP’s registered for its use, again we’d been keen to understand so we can work to enhance this information sharing platform.
